Nainital Events

Nainital is a city of utter beauty and utter appreciation for its environment, surroundings, people and seasons. With such picturesque scenery to be thankful for, the festivities held here are in great colour, pride and zest. Beginning with the renowned Autumn Festival in September, Nainital shares its love for its patron Goddess, Naina Devi by displaying vibrant performances of the Kumaoni culture through dance and theatre, as well as decorating the entire city in the brightest colours possible. October and November are the months of the Kumaoni Festival. Created by the Tourism Department, the Kumaoni Festival offers an inside look to the public at the effervescent tradition of Nainital, celebrating in all the traditional manners, complete with stalls selling traditional foods. Moving into the warmer weather, the Sailing Regatta in June is another popular fest that is greatly looked forward to. Open to all, participation is highly welcomed and highly enjoyed!
