The National Highway 87 services tourists traveling to Nainital by road. If arriving from Delhi, follow the Noida road to Muradabad until reaching Haldwani. Proceed then to Kathgodam, until the road leads you to Nainital.

Buses provided by the state allow regularly scheduled services from Delhi, Agra, Dehradun, Haridwar, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Kathgodam and Haldwani. A second option is to travel by deluxe coach from Delhi.

Train

The closest railway station to Nainital is located at Kathgodam, which provides regularly scheduled trains running from Delhi, Ramnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mathura, Dehradun and Jammu Tawi.

Air

The fastest way of reaching Nainital is by flying directly into the hill station region, served by PantNagar Airport, located 2 hours away from the city. It is limited to the services of only Jagson airlines, and is one of the least busiest airports in the entire country. Only six flights are scheduled per week.
